After a year and a half, public-private partnerships for handwashing with soap are in place in Ghana and Kerala, and full-scale handwash promotion programs have been designed. New countries are set to join the initiative. This document outlines the approach that was taken, and offers lessons for those interested in setting up such programs in the future.
